From starting the year being clueless yet super excited about the role that was I given, to spending the second half of the year on an unsuccessful job hunt.

From making completely new connections to slowly cutting them off from my life; each teaching me about my energy, and raising my self worth, to acing the anxiety game so shockingly amazing, I am content I crossed that bridge all by myself.

From sunstrokes to a hamstring tear and of course, no weight gain.

From grieving  for someone very dear to celebrating wedding unions of friends, I think I did pretty good. 

I felt like documenting my songs of the month for the whole year. Want to try and see if I can sum up the year with all the tracks

Jan was the month of my role kicking off the most unexpected role I'd have ever imagined myself doing. Unakull naane was a perfect start to year, her voice swaying with the almost-winter end breeze. Feb & March had 12-18hour shifts with hardly any privacy or time for music. But Falak's melody (the tabla & flute bit) gave me company in the midst of 25 people.

This day, last year I was the last one to wish ya.. Vaguely remember you trying to talk in the midst of all that noise but I cant forget you were having a great time.. Don't be surprised to see such a small post. There's more I want to write but I cant.. Its all in the head but nothing's falling into place.. just scribbling anything that's coming out.. Man Against Nature..

They are damn right when they say "Sometimes you just have to let Nature do the talking and wait to see how it surprises you in return." The weekend that went by was an absolute adventure with and against Nature.. Where         - Chomakund hills, Coorg Head count  - 24 Duration      - 2 days Team           - Nisarga (Nisarga Environmental Consciousness and Outdoor Leadership Trust) With everything planned much in advance, somehow things were not in our favor from the start. From a 22 seater AC Sleeper coach, it came down to 2 tempo travels after some mind churning calls by Karthik. Now its always fun when the whole lot is together; the fun gets divided once split. With negative vibes until the day of the trek, most of us thought it almost got cancelled. Looking back at all that happened, I now wonder what  would all of us have missed out on.. Home... Sweet Home

How many of you have a home?  How many have been with your folks forever? By that I mean eat, sleep, feed, get fed, come home to a family? How many of you have been away from yours?  Why have you been away? Do you like the distance because you can do what you want? Or you had no choice but to go away to make your mark out there?  How homesick are you? How many do not have one? And where do you go? ---- Home is where the heart is, where it all begins.  Some of you are lucky enough to be in and around that feeling, some are not. And there are some who in spite of having this privilege, either are unlucky to enjoy it or do not quite like the attention.   My understanding of home is from what I have experienced at friends' or relatives'. I get to live this once or twice in a year for not more than a week. For me, it is an absolutely overwhelming experience.  I can say being deprived of it pinches you when you actually receive it.
